Étude I — Sans titre

The collar remains open.

Five centimeters of cuff. Buttons. Black. White. Black against white. Shoulders. Intentional. The drape. A respiration between two seams.

The same shirt returns across the images, carrying slight shifts in proportion, tension and light. A shoulder settles differently. A fold deepens. Variation becomes a method.

Étude I — Sans Titre began with a series of observations around the reminiscence of forms within Aymone Studio's work. Forms revisited season after season, adjusted by fractions. The collar, the sleeve, the drape, the precision of a construction that reveals itself gradually. The process stitched through time.

Aymone Studio brought the garment and the vocabulary it has been refining through a curated layering of fabrics, forms and meanings. Cowboys worked around it, shaping the conditions through which these details could surface. Through image-making, production and framing, attention was directed toward what usually escapes notice: the distance between elements, the weight of a fabric, the way light and contrast occupy a surface.

The images stay close to the material.

What emerges is a sequence of studies built around recurrence.

The persistence of a shirt.

The persistence of a line.

The persistence of decisions made, revisited and made again.

This first étude marks the beginning of an ongoing body of work with Cowboys.

A form observed long enough to disclose something of its own logic.
